The Care Team at Aashna House, in Streatham Vale, London, have now been interviewed as part of the selection process for the national winner in the Great British Care Awards.
The interviews took place at the presentation ceremony for the regional awards, on 5 May, where Aashna House Care Manager Mathini Navukkarasu was presented with the trophy for winning the London Region Award in March.
“We’ve now been invited to the National Care Home Awards Ceremony at the Guildhall, in London on 5 June, where the winner of the national title will be announced.
Commenting on Aashna House’s success in gaining the London Region Award, Carolyn O’Callaghan, of the Great British Care Awards, said they received a large number of applications, all of which were of an extremely high standard.
Aashna House, which opened in 1993 as the UK’s first purpose-built care home for Asian elders, provides emotional, social, physical, religious, cultural and physiological support to its 37 residents, many of whom require round-the-clock care.
